Reznor SC-100, 100,000 BTU Duct Furnace, Natural Gas / Propane Fired, Indoor, Separated Combustion - BUILT TO ORDER

The Reznor® SC series consists of separated-combustion indoor duct furnaces designed to protect the combustion process from contaminated or negatively pressurized indoor environments by drawing all combustion air from the outside. Available in capacities from 100,000 to 400,000 BTUH, these units require an upstream air-moving device and can be installed with a specialized terminal that only needs a single building penetration for both intake and exhaust. They feature a standard 24-volt gas valve with a spark-ignited intermittent pilot ignition and integrated safety controls.

Features

  • 100,000 BTU
  • Separated combustion
  • Adjustable fan control

Customizable features

  • Fuel Adjustments: Choose natural gas or propane for the fuel source. Propane gas option (AA2) requires the addition of burner air shutters (AE2) and spark pilot with lockout (AH3) on the models.
  • Elevation Adjustments: Adjust the unit’s configuration based on the installation’s elevation to help ensure safe and efficient combustion. In the U.S. – Options AB2-8 derated 4% for each 1,000 ft above sea level.
  • Material Upgrades: Options are available to upgrade the heat exchanger, burners, and drip pans to stainless steel. Which is recommended for high-moisture environment or applications with low inlet air temperatures. Factory installed air shutters (AE2) is required for propane fuel type models.
  • Advanced Gas Control Systems: Allows for tailored heating performance ranging from single stage or two—stage valves to sophisticated electronic modulation and multi-stage systems for precise temperature management.
  • Ignition and Access Preferences: Options to choose between standard intermittent spark pilots or versions with timed lockouts, and select whether the control access is located on the left or right side of the unit to fit the specific application. Right side option (AJ2) is not available with Gas Control Options AG39 or AG40.
  • Electrical and Voltage Options: The HRPD furnace can be configured to match the facility’s power supply with multiple voltage and phase options, including 115V, 208V, 230V, and 460V.
  • Enhanced Safety and Monitoring: Options to add specialized safety components such as high and low gas pressure switches, and air flow proving switches.

Customer Questions
What type of unit is the SC series?
The SC series is an indoor commercial/industrial separated-combustion power-vented gas-fired duct furnace designed for ducted air systems using an external air handler. If you have any further questions, feel free to give us a call!
What does “separated combustion” mean?
Separated combustion means the unit: draws combustion air from outside the building, discharges flue gases to the outside and completely separates combustion air from the indoor heated air. Both combustion-air piping and exhaust piping to the outdoors are required. If you have any further questions, feel free to give us a call!
What are the clearance requirements?
Minimum clearances to combustibles: 6 inches on top, bottom and opposite side of control side, 6 inches plus width of unit for control side for combustibles. Then 0 inches from the bottom for noncombustibles. Proper clearance ensures safe operation and service accessibility. If you have any further questions, feel free to give us a call!
What is the venting design for the SC series?
The SC series features an exclusive vent terminal design that only requires one roof or wall penetration. This design is so that combustion air is kept completely separate and is drawn from outside the heated space. If you have any further questions, feel free to give us a call!
