The Rupp Air R1D.500-15D is a direct gas-fired heated make-up air unit designed to deliver tempered make-up air for installations requiring frequent air changes. This model features a 15" direct drive fan and is designed for indoor or outdoor installation. The unit uses a G90 galvanized enclosure with an elevated gas burner that operates directly in the airstream, allowing the products of combustion to mix with the incoming make-up air.
Built for reliable commercial and industrial operation, the R1D.500-15D features a self-adjusting burner profile with spring-loaded profile plates that automatically respond to incoming airflow. This design supports 2-speed and variable-air-volume applications without requiring motors or actuators to adjust the burner profile. Pre-wired and pre-piped controls, redundant gas valves, intermittent spark ignition with timed safety lockout, and multiple safety controls provide dependable operation.
Each Rupp Air R1D.500-15D package includes the direct gas-fired heated make-up air unit with a 15" mixed-flow direct drive fan, a sloped filtered intake with 2" MV EZ Kleen metal mesh filters, 0–150°F discharge temperature control, a gas manifold, down discharge construction, low fire start, motorized backdraft damper, commercial smoke detector interlock, factory-set freezestat, VAV wiring package, variable frequency drive, and an insulated flat curb with a full bottom curb corner.
RuppAir provides a 2-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. The warranty period is 24 months from the date of shipment. Defective parts covered by the warranty will be repaired or replaced at no charge after examination by RuppAir.
The warranty does not apply if the equipment is not installed by a qualified installer according to the manufacturer's installation instructions, is not installed in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local codes, is misused or neglected, is operated outside its published capacity, or the invoice is not paid according to the sales agreement. The buyer is responsible for all labor costs associated with warranty repairs or replacements.
