Read our privacy policyThe Santa Fe Medium Hang Kit (4044745) suspends your dehumidifier from the floor joists or ceiling in a crawl space, basement, or attic. Getting the unit off the ground frees up floor space, keeps it above standing water if the space ever floods, and gives the condensate line the drop it needs to drain by gravity instead of pumping.
It's a rope-and-ratchet system rather than a fixed bracket, so you can lift the unit into place and fine-tune the height as you go. Four ratchet pulleys with snap hooks and two 25-foot polyester braid ropes do the lifting, and four D-ring tie-downs with mounting brackets anchor to the joists. The dehumidifier's feet stay on and act as a safety backup if a strap ever slips.
Hanging also cuts down on vibration transfer, which matters most in attic installs where the unit sits above finished rooms. All hardware and full instructions are in the box. You'll need a drill.
Joe from Santa Fe walks through the full hang kit installation, from setting the D-rings on the joist to ratcheting the unit up to height.
