The Santa Fe Ultra V100 (Model 4047100) is a whole house ventilating dehumidifier that removes up to 100 pints of moisture per day and brings in fresh outdoor air through a dedicated 8-inch duct. That combination handles two jobs with one unit, which is why it shows up so often in new construction and tightly sealed existing homes where humidity climbs and fresh air has nowhere to come from.
Excess indoor moisture is what leads to mold growth, musty basement smells, condensation on windows, and damage to framing, flooring, and stored belongings. Holding relative humidity between 45 and 55 percent protects the house and makes the air feel cooler at the same thermostat setting, so a lot of homeowners see their AC run less once the V100 is dialed in.

Installing the Santa Fe Ultra V100
The Ultra V100 can be ducted into an existing HVAC system or installed as a standalone dehumidifier serving a basement, crawl space, or the whole house. Configurable vertical and horizontal discharge means you can work around joists and low headroom instead of fighting them.
A 24V low voltage terminal block lets you hardwire the unit to an external control, so it can tie into a central thermostat, a building automation system, or the optional Santa Fe DEH 3000 wall control for remote humidity and ventilation management. Dew point cut-out protection keeps the unit from running when conditions would cause the coil to frost.

Santa Fe builds the Ultra V100 in the United States, and the R2 insulated cabinet does double duty: it damps compressor vibration so the unit runs around 47.5 dBA, and it keeps the exterior warm enough that condensation doesn't bead up and drip on whatever sits underneath.
