Customer Questions
Can this fan be operated continuously?
Yes, this fan is equipped with a continuous-duty motor and is designed for continuous operation without issue.
What does the “low profile” design mean, and why might it matter?
This design allows the motor and drive parts to be set into the roof curb, so the unit doesn’t stick up as much above the roof. That helps reduce wind exposure, looks cleaner, avoids height issues, and makes it easier to install in areas with limited clearance. If you’d like help finding the best option for your space, our team is here to assist you.
Is this applicable on school kitchens?
Yes, it is! You’ll just need to select the right size and airflow (CFM) to match your kitchen space. If you’d like help choosing the best option, our team is always available to assist you.
How energy efficient is the PRN fan?
PRN uses a direct-drive motor with a non-overloading blower wheel. That means it delivers airflow without wasting power, especially when you stay within its static pressure rating.
Can this fan be installed on walls instead of just roofs?
The PRN is specifically designed for roof exhaust (downblast). Wall installations are usually different because of the flow orientation. We have other fans that can be installed in walls. If you’d like help choosing the best option, our team is always available to assist you.
How often should I service this fan?
Service needs can vary depending on where the fan is used. In dusty or heavy-use areas, it’s a good idea to check it about once a month. For cleaner or lighter-use spaces, a more detailed inspection every few months is usually enough to keep it running smoothly.
