Goodman 3 Ton Fixed TXV Kit - R-410A Refrigerant
Thermostatic Expansion Valves (TXVs) are:
- Required for 14 SEER or higher split system heat pumps
- Required for many condensers or heat pump systems designed for R-410A refrigerant
- An optional upgrade for any other air conditioner or heat pump systems
Your system will operate better and with higher efficiency with a TXV kit. This kit offers more control over how much liquid refrigerant enters the evaporator coil. The valves only allow a certain amount of liquid into the coil to make sure that all liquid that enters completely evaporates. This allows for the prevention of too little liquid from entering the evaporator which would make the system run less efficiently. It also stops too much liquid from entering the evaporator which can cause excess in the lines. Thermostatic Expansion Valves are provide multi-position mounting on the evaporator coil inlet and are consistent, efficient and virtually hassle-free. Select the TXV to match the tonnage of your air conditioner or heat pump, as well as to match the type of refrigerant your systems uses, R-22 (standard) or R-410A (new alternative)
This capacitor gives an extra "jolt" of electricity upon startup to push the refrigerant against higher head pressures that are present with a TXV system. When using a TXV, manufacturer's recommend also installing a hard-start in your heat pump or condenser. If a hard-start capacitor is not installed, the equipment compressor has a possibility of having trouble getting started.

- It Just WorksAfter my last condenser failed, cooling my home became a chore. While this is a MUCH larger condenser than my previous 2 ton, the unit is quieter and pushes more air than that unit. If you need a new condenser, I definitely recommend.

- Good heaterInstalled this bad boy on my own. It was my first time. I did have help from my brother in law. It was also his first furnace install. Things went pretty smooth I guess. It took us a total of about 7 hours over 2 days to remove the old one and install this one. Had to remake my fresh air duct work. But it works great. Way better than my old one!

- Great customer service!I’m not a review guy. I figure why write a good review when good customer service should be the norm, right? Well we all know its not. I called hvacdirect and was put in touch with sales rep. Sean. He was awesome. I had the A/C model my hvac guy told me to order but wondered if there was a higher seer unit. Sean hooked me up. Fast forward to delivery day, which btw was only two weeks after ordering, I inspected condensing unit and case coil. The case coil was a different model than ordered. After a brief freak out, a call to Sean (unanswered) and search of the website I determined that this unit would fit and was actually a better unit than the one I ordered. I accepted delivery. Sean returned my call minutes later, he confirmed it was an upgraded model due to availability of the model ordered and it would work for me. Sean was great and hvacdirect did right by getting me a unit in a timely fashion. We will be installing the unit this weekend and hoping for some hot weather to try it out. I would recommend calling hvacdirect if you have hvac needs.
