At an output of 2 tons, the Goodman CHPTA2426B3 evaporator coil is ready for almost any horizontal application that matches that output need. In entire system configurations, the coil will be either larger or the same size as the condenser's tonnage. As such, the tonnages of the coil and the condenser may be different in order to maintain the unit's efficiency. Please note that for this coil to function, a furnace or blower and a condenser is required, all sold separately. This coil is not designed to replace a coil in a single-piece air handler.

The CHPTA2426B3 coil is covered under Goodman's standard 10 year parts warranty when the unit is installed following your state and local codes, the coil is paired with a compatible R32 condenser, and the entire system is registered online through the manufacturer.

The BTU count is the input per hour of the furnace, and the output is 38,400 BTU’s (40,000 x 96% AFUE) per hour.

96% Efficiency Rating

The GC9S960403BN Goodman gas furnace has a 96% efficiency rating. This means that only 4% of the fuel going into the furnace is used up in normal furnace operations and not used to heat your home. The remaining 96% of the inputted fuel is used to heat your home. 96% efficient furnaces is one of the highest efficiencies of natural gas furnaces available for purchase with today’s technology. Please note that 96% efficient furnaces such as this one require plasic/pvc flue venting, and 80% efficient furnaces require plastic/PVC flue venting.
