This furnace is compatible with the Comfortnet communicating system and is designed for uplfow or horizontal configurations. These furnaces are run-tested for heating or combination heating and cooling applications. Not intended for use in mobile homes.

The Goodman GSZC16 series two-stage, high efficiency heat pumps offer up to 16 SEER and up to 9.7 HSPF performance, while running quietly for years of dependable service. With the built-in Goodman ComfortAlert and ComfortNet technology, installation and maintenance are more automatic and accurate than ever, reducing technician set up and repair times.
The next generation, two-stage Copeland scroll compressor ensures steady temperatures, accurately adjusting demand as needed. Designed with fewer moving parts and consuming less energy compared to reciprocating compressors, the compressor uses chlorine-free R-410A refrigerant and will provide years of reliable cooling comfort.
Engineered with quiet operation in mind, GSZC18 models feature internal sound dampening foam blankets to reduce noise and vibration during operation. The fan discharge grille and condenser fan motor also limit excess sound, without compromising performance.

The GMVC80805CN gas furnace is from one of the top-of-the-line series by Goodman. Considered one of the best of the best, this furnace has a two stage burner and a variable speed blower motor. At an input of 80,000 BTU’s, the GMVC80805CN Goodman gas furnace is suitable for up to a medium-sized house in an average climate. The output of this furnace is 64,000 BTU’s, which is calculated by the input times the 80% efficiency rating.
With the industry standard efficiency of 80% AFUE, the GMVC80805CN Goodman gas furnace uses 80% of the fuel going into the furnace to heat your home and the remaining 20% of the fuel going into it is used up in normal furnace operations and is lost out of the flue venting. The GMVC80805CN requires metal flue venting like any 80% efficient furnace, while anything 90% and above would require plastic or PVC venting.

At 2 tons, the GSZC160241 heat pump by Goodman is suitable for a smaller house in average climate conditions. Please note that for this unit to function, a compatible air handler or coil is required. Sometimes, the air handler or coil that is paired in a system bundle will be larger than the heat pump condenser in tonnage to maintain the unit’s overall efficiency.
At 16 SEER, one of the highest efficiencies on the market for this type of system, the GSZC160241 can save you around 12% in energy bills in comparison to a 14 SEER system, saving you money over time to spend on the things you care about most instead of on your energy bills.
The Goodman GSZC160241 heat pump is built with a two stage compressor, allowing for a more stable temperature output. The GSZC160241 heat pump condenser comes standard with a 10 year parts warranty. To provide a peace of mind on its two stage compressor, Goodman also offers a lifetime heat exchanger warranty when paired with a new air handler or coil. All of these warranties require an installation that follows your state and local codes and the unit must be registered online through the manufacturer.
With its durable structure designed for harsh conditions and its paint layer that makes it approved for up to 500 hours of salt spray, the Goodman GSZC160241 heat pump condenser is compliant with Florida 2010 integrity building codes when properly anchored. The Goodman CAPF3642C6 evaporator coil is rated for a 3 to 3.5 ton output. In many system configurations, this coil may be larger in tonnage than its paired condenser. This is intentional, to maintain the overall efficiency of the entire system.Please note that in order for this coil to function, a furnace or blower and a condenser is required, all sold separately.
The CAPF3642C6 coil is covered under Goodman’s standard 10 year parts warranty when the unit is installed following your state and local codes, the coil is paired with a compatible condenser, and the entire system is registered online through the manufacturer.
The Goodman CAPF3642C6 evaporator coil is able to be installed in upflow and downflow applications. With its rust-resistant, thermoplastic drain plan, water retention rate is significantly lower than previous models. For even more enhanced durability, the cabinet is made of a strong galvanized-steel with a leather-grain finish. If you ever need to perform maintenance on your coil, there is a split-seam on the front of the casing for easy internal access. Please note that this coil will not work as a replacement for any single-piece air handler coils.
The CAPF3642C6 evaporator coil’s foil-faced insulation lowers air leakage, increasing the amount of air flow going into your ductwork, keeping you more comfortable while decreasing the unit’s run time. With compatible equipment, the CAPF3642C6 evaporator coil lives up to Goodman’s enhanced comfort and efficiency standards at a reasonable price.
Goodman's TXV valves are designed to improve the reliability and efficiency of your central split system. With the TX2N4A, you can be assured that your one-and-a-half or two ton system is getting the proper refrigerant flow, even through changing conditions.
