The next generation, two-stage Copeland scroll compressor ensures steady temperatures, accurately adjusting demand as needed. Designed with fewer moving parts and consuming less energy compared to reciprocating compressors, the compressor uses chlorine-free R-410A refrigerant and will provide years of reliable cooling comfort.
Engineered with quiet operation in mind, GSZC7 models feature internal sound dampening foam blankets to reduce noise and vibration during operation. The fan discharge grille and condenser fan motor also limit excess sound, without compromising performance.

At 2 tons, the GSZC702410 heat pump by Goodman is suitable for a larger house in average climate conditions. Please note that for this unit to function, a compatible air handler or coil is required. Sometimes, the air handler or coil that is paired in a system bundle will be larger than the heat pump condenser in tonnage to maintain the units overall efficiency.
At 17 SEER2, the GSZC702410 condenser is manufactured to be the highest possible efficiency made by Goodman today. The GSZC702410 can save you around 25% in energy bills in comparison to a 17 SEER2 standard efficiency system, saving you a significant amount of money over time to spend on the things you care about most instead of on your energy bills.
The Goodman GSZC702410 heat pump is built with a two stage compressor, allowing for a more stable temperature output. With its built in compressor muffler, noise blanket, and superior cabinet insulation, the noise output is decreased to make it almost whisper quiet, along with the two stage compressor that decreases operation noise output when on the lower stage.
The GSZC702410 heat pump condenser comes standard with a 10 year parts warranty. To provide a peace of mind on its two stage compressor, Goodman also offers a lifetime heat exchanger warranty when paired with a new air handler or coil. All of these warranties require an installation that follows your state and local codes and the unit must be registered online through the manufacturer.
With its durable structure designed for harsh conditions and its paint layer that makes it approved for up to 500 hours of salt spray, the Goodman GSZC702410 heat pump condenser is compliant with Florida 2010 integrity building codes when properly anchored. For enhanced reliability, the liquid line is fitted with a bi-flow filter drier, lowering general wear and tear by filtering out impurities and system contaminants. The Goodman AMVT30BP1400 air handler is rated for an output of 2.5 tons. In many cases, the tonnage of the air handler will be larger than the condenser that it is naturally paired with. This is intentional, and is to maintain the overall efficiency of the unit. While the unit does require a condenser to function as part of a heat pump or air conditioner, heat strips may be installed in the air handler to provide straight electric heating, which can be used as an electric furnace on its own or as a backup heat option for a heat pump setup.
The AMVT30BP1400 comes with Goodman's standard 10 year parts warranty when registered online through the manufacturer. Please note that in order for the warranty to be upheld, the installation must be compliant to all related local and state codes, as well as the unit must be paired with an approved condenser.

The Goodman AMVT30BP1400 utilizes SmartFrame technology in its sub-structure. This, along with special mounting features on the cabinet, allows for the unit to be easily installed almost anywhere it fits, as it is multi-positional in that it can be installed in the upflow, downflow, or horizontal orientations. For easier maintenance, there are two panels on the front to access vital areas on the air handler.
