The ACiQ PGS436090KGP0G has a cooling output of 3 tons, and a heating input of 90,000 BTU. When running the air conditioner on this unit, the unit's electrical efficiency is rated at 14 SEER, the standard efficiency on the market today. On the heating side of the unit, the gas efficiency is rated at 81% AFUE, which means that 81% of the fuel going into the furnace is used to heat your home, and the remaining 19% is used up and lost out of the flue venting during normal operations. This gas efficiency rating also turns the 90,000 BTU input into a 72,900 BTU output.

The Pros: Holding this unit for 3 months and just put it in! Installation was super easy! So quiet you can hardly hear it run. Highly recommend this unit for sure! Thank you HVACDirect.

The con(s): The square to round 14" adapter does not really fit this unit the best. Instead of square, it should be more rectangle to fit.

Nonetheless, 5 star rating from me!!

What happens if this breaks down?

HVACDirect.com gives you lifetime tech support. Many common problems can be solved with a phone call to us. HVACDirect.com is an authorized dealer of ACiQ, therefore equipment we sell carries the full manufacturer's warranty. The warranty applies to all parts. You have to register the products online in order to extend the warranty to the full 10 years, otherwise the term is 5 years. If a part fails under warranty, you will not pay anything for the replacement part. Should a part fail under warranty, the first step is to have a professional confirm what part needs to be replaced. Then, contact us at customerservice@hvacdirect.com or by calling and asking for customer service.

What happens if it arrives damaged?

If you are present during drop-off and you see obvious signs of damage or rough handling in transit - please ask the driver to wait while you inspect the equipment. If it is damaged badly enough that you believe it can not function, you have the right to refuse the damaged portion of the shipment. If you discover the damage after the driver has left, take photos of the damage and send them to customerservice@hvacdirect.com. Please refer to your order number in the email. This starts the process and one of our representatives will be in touch with you promptly.

How can I find an installer?

It’s easier than you think – the key is to find an independent contractor or small company as opposed to a larger HVAC service. A one or two person outfit will do the work more quickly and cheaply than a bigger company, too. Yelp.com, Thumbtack.com, and Porch.com are websites are designed to help you connect with a professional in your area. You could also place a call to the last professional who did work on your home and see if they have any recommendations.

Are you able to arrange shipping to Canada?

We cannot ship directly to you but what we can do is ship to a border store and it can continue from there. If you have any further questions, please call us and we will be happy to assist you.

Can this unit can be installed and used in California?

This unit can be installed in California, however, you will have to pay a $450 mitigation fee due to this furnace not meeting the SCAQMD Rule 1111 14 ng/J NOx emission limit. The purpose of Rule 1111 is to reduce NOx emissions from fan-type central furnaces and applies to manufacturers, distributors, sellers , and installers of residential and commercial fan type central furnaces. If you would like to know more information about Rule 1111 or have any further questions, we recommend that you give us a call. Thanks.

Do you sell plenums for package units?

You do not use a formal plenum with a packaged unit. What you would use depends on the type of home or building its conditioning. Where the unit is set up is also a key component. If the packaged unit is installed on the ground beside a building, you can optionally use square-to-round adapters to connect the unit to your building. Please note that these adapters are required for Mobile and Manufactured Homes. If the packaged unit is installed on top of a building, a roof curb is required. These adapters and roof curbs are what a packaged unit would use instead of a plenum. If you have any further questions, please call us and we will be happy to assist you.

What is the minimum SEER allowed in Texas?

For gas packaged units, the PGS436090KGP0G is allowed to be purchased and installed in Texas. Texas and the rest of the southern states require any new packaged unit installations to have a minimum SEER rating of 14 or SEER2 rating of 13.4.
