Furnace Features
The Goodman GSZC18 series two stage, high efficiency heat pumps offer up to 19 SEER and up to 10 HSPF performance, while running quietly for years of dependable service. With the built-in Goodman ComfortAlert and ComfortNet technology, installation and maintenance are more automatic and accurate than ever, reducing technician set up and repair times.
The next generation, two-stage Copeland scroll compressor ensures steady temperatures, accurately adjusting demand as needed. Designed with fewer moving parts and consuming less energy compared to reciprocating compressors, the compressor uses chlorine-free R-410A refrigerant and will provide years of reliable cooling comfort.
Engineered with quiet operation in mind, GSZC18 models feature internal sound dampening foam blankets to reduce noise and vibration during operation. The fan discharge grille and condenser fan motor also limit excess sound, without compromising performance.

Cabinet Features
This pre-assembled transition is a perfect for when the width of the furnace is slimmer than width of the coil. This transition is designed for a 17.5" to 21" transition. This transition is quick and easy to install and eliminates block-offs for maximum efficiency.
Features:The Goodman CHPF3743C6 evaporator coil is designed for any installations that the coil needs to sit on its side, in the horizontal position. With its enhanced comfort and superior efficiency design, the CHPF3743C6 is an inexpensive yet quality choice for you.
At an output of 3 to 3.5 tons, the Goodman CHPF3743C6 evaporator coil is ready for almost any horizontal installation at that size. In many situations, a condenser that is paired with the condenser is going to be smaller than this coil. This is intentional and is to maintain the overall unit’s efficiency. Please note that for this coil to function, a furnace or blower and a condenser is required, all sold separately. This coil is not designed to replace a coil in a single-piece air handler.
The CHPF3743C6 coil is covered under Goodman’s standard 10 year parts warranty when the unit is installed following your state and local codes, the coil is paired with a compatible R410A condenser, and the entire system is registered online through the manufacturer.
The Goodman CHPF3743C6 evaporator coil is designed with a durable outer casing and a rust-resistant drain pan to lower general wear and tear to make sure the coil works for years to come. To ease installation, the unit is designed to be slim and able to fit in many crawl spaces and attics, and with its foil-face insulation making the unit’s air leakage minimal, installation location does not necessarily have to be insulated for normal temperature operations. For maintenance, the coil has a split-seam on the front of it for easier access.
With top of the line technology at high efficiency, two stage burner, and variable speed blower motor, the GMVC960603BN gas furnace is another masterpiece by Goodman. With enhanced durability and reliability, you can expect this Goodman gas furnace to perform well throughout its entire life and keep money in your pocket.
The GMVC960603BN Goodman gas furnace has an input of 60,000 BTU’s. The output of the unit, determined by the input times the efficiency, is 57,600 BTU’s. This output makes this furnace suitable for most medium-sized houses in average climate conditions.
With one of the highest efficiency ratings available, the GMVC960603BN gas furnace is 96% efficient. At this efficiency, the GMVC960603BN uses only 4% of its gas to operate the furnace itself and 96% of the gas going into the furnace to make your home warm and comfortable. With high-efficiency furnaces such as this one, the flue venting must be plastic or PVC.
Allowing for a more precise air flow output to best suit your home’s needs at a moment’s notice, the variable speed motor on the GMVC960603BN is the best blower motor that Goodman has to offer. The two stage burner on the furnace allows for a lower output and a higher output for a more precise heat output as needed by your thermostat. Both of these high-end features allow for a small increase in efficiency, but the primary benefits are enhanced comfort and a more stable temperature throughout any season of the furnace’s use.
The GMVC960603BN comes standard with Goodman’s 10 year parts warranty and its exceptional lifetime heat exchanger warranty. In order to maintain this warranty, the installation must follow your state and local codes and the unit must be registered online via Goodman’s website.
The heavy-duty tubular heat exchanger on the GMVC960603BN Goodman gas furnace is designed for constant winter use to provide peace of mind thanks to its enhanced reliability. The aluminized steel design of this heat exchanger provides a faster and more efficient heat transfer rate. Moreover, the outer casing on the unit is a heavier gauge of steel, protecting the internals of the furnace and lowering air leakage and furnace operation noise. All of these features enhance comfort and provide durability and reliability for the lifetime of the unit.
The GMVC960603BN furnace runs on natural gas from the factory. When you field-install the optional LP conversion kit (found here at an additional cost), this furnace can use propane instead when the installation requires it. This Goodman furnace is also able to be installed in the upflow or horizontal positions, allowing for a more versatile application potential.
Goodman's TXV valves are designed to improve the reliability and efficiency of your central split system. With the TX3N4, you can be assured that your two-and-a-half or three ton system is getting the proper refrigerant flow, even through changing conditions. Since this valve is installed externally, it is easy to service and maintain. If you're looking to improve the efficiency and performance of your system, the TX3N4 is a good start.
