4 to 5 Tons

At an output of 4 to 5 tons, the Goodman CAPT4961C4 evaporator coil is ready for almost any vertical application that matches that output need. In entire system configurations, the coil will be either larger or the same size as the condenser’s tonnage. As such, the tonnages of the coil and the condenser may be different in order to maintain the unit’s efficiency.
Please note that for this coil to function, a furnace or blower and a condenser is required, all sold separately. This coil is not designed to replace a coil in a single-piece air handler.

Warranty

The CAPT4961C4 coil is covered under Goodman’s standard 10 year parts warranty when the unit is installed following your state and local codes, the coil is paired with a compatible R410A condenser, and the entire system is registered online through the manufacturer.

The Goodman CAPT4961C4 vertical evaporator coil is designed with aluminum tubing and fin coils, lowering wear and tear on the unit. The coil also comes with a TXV kit factory-installed, making it one less thing for your installer to have to install, lowering installation costs. For easier maintenance access, the front of the coil’s durable cabinet has a split-seam.

The Goodman CAPT4961C4 vertical evaporator coil’s built-in TXV kit provides a significant increase in refrigerant control, increasing the overall efficiency of the entire system and providing a more precise temperature output to make you more comfortable in your home. On top of that, the coil has a mold-resistant, thermoplastic drain pan set that lowers potentially dangerous particle buildup. At an input of 80,000 BTU’s, the GMVC80805CN Goodman gas furnace is suitable for up to a medium-sized house in an average climate. The output of this furnace is 64,000 BTU’s, which is calculated by the input times the 80% efficiency rating.

80% Efficiency Rating

With the industry standard efficiency of 80% AFUE, the GMVC80805CN Goodman gas furnace uses 80% of the fuel going into the furnace to heat your home and the remaining 20% of the fuel going into it is used up in normal furnace operations and is lost out of the flue venting. The GMVC80805CN requires metal flue venting like any 80% efficient furnace, while anything 90% and above would require plastic or PVC venting.
