The ACiQ AQ-AMST60DU1300 air handler is rated for an output of 5 tons. In many cases, the tonnage of the air handler will be larger than the condenser that it is naturally paired with. This is intentional, and is to maintain the overall efficiency of the unit. While the unit does require a condenser to function as part of a heat pump or air conditioner, heat strips may be installed in the air handler to provide straight electric heating, which can be used as an electric furnace on its own or as a backup heat option for a heat pump setup.
Warranty
The AQ-AMST60DU1300 comes with ACiQ standard 10 year parts warranty when registered online through the manufacturer. Please note that in order for the warranty to be upheld, the installation must be compliant to all related local and state codes, as well as the unit must be paired with an approved condenser.

Customized Installation and Operation
The Ultra70 gives you three ways to install it. Tie it into your existing HVAC system with a dedicated 8" return and a supply connection with backdraft damper. Run it on its own separate ductwork. Or set it freestanding in a basement or crawl space when ducting isn't practical.
Both the return air inlet and supply air outlet use 8" duct collars. The back panel comes configured for horizontal flow through and rotates for vertical flow through with a T20 torx bit, which is what lets the same unit work in an attic, a closet, or under a floor.
Fresh air ventilation is optional and simple to add. A "T" into the inlet duct brings outdoor air into the system to dilute pollutants and maintain normal oxygen levels indoors, and the volume is adjustable with a range of dampers and controls.

If you are installing a heater coil in an air handler, line voltage is to be connected directly to the heater coil which will operate both the heater coil and air handler. A separate circuit for the air handler is not needed.
Depending on the heater coil size being installed, one or two circuits to the heater coil will be necessary (see "PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS" below for quantity and amperage of circuits required for this heater coil.) At your home's circuit panel, individual 220 volt double-pole circuit breakers are required for each circuit.

This 240 volt heater coil can be added to a Goodman air handler to provide winter-time heating capabilities.

So far so good. It has been in service for only 2 weeks as a heat pump. I hope it works well in AC mode as well. Some sort of feet on the bottom of the unit to help leveling and reduce vibration would be nice.
