55,000 BTU, 22.2 SEER2
The 55,000 BTU, ACIQ-55z-HH-M6C is designed to easily support up to 4 air handlers at up to 1.25 times the condenser BTU rating, or 60,000 BTU across all air handlers. This adaptive, inverter condenser is constantly self-adjusting to provide the precise amount of heating or cooling needed to maintain your desired temperature in each room or zone. You can set different temperatures room by room, even turn off heating and cooling in unused areas. This, combined with a high efficiency rating of 22.2 SEER2, means you are buying a system designed to intelligently save you money both up front and over the lifetime of the unit.
Although the condenser is pre-charged, please note that this model of equipment does not have quick connect line set connectors and is not a self-install unit. You will need a professional to add more refrigerant and vacuum the lines as needed. Installation materials such as line sets, control wire, drain hose, whip and disconnect are not included, but are available at additional cost in the Accessories section to the right of this text. For all multi zone ACIQ condensers, a minimum of two air handlers is needed for the unit to function.
Extreme Heat Base Pan Heater Technology
Each ACiQ condenser has integrated Extreme Heat technology to maximize heat performance in extreme cold weather. Extended heat pump performance (HyperHeat) harnesses the power of inverter condenser with outdoor temp sensing, variable refrigerant flow and variable condenser fan speed to maximize heat extraction all the way down to -22°F. Plus, every Extreme Heat ACiQ condenser includes a base pan heater to keep ice from collecting on the condenser coil during heat pump operation.

Installation and Maintenance
ACiQ multi zone condensers are pre-charged with R410-A refrigerant for 25' per air handler connection. In many cases, no additional refrigerant is needed. All units are run-tested at the factory for years of trouble-free performance. Troubleshooting is easy thanks to unit's self diagnosing control board with alerts that are sent to each connected air handler.

Slim Ceiling Cassettes give you the advantages of a traditional cassette, but in a slimmer profile designed to fit between 16”-on-center joists. This means an easier installation in many cases.
Slim Ceiling Cassettes have a one-way air delivery, taking in return air along one edge and delivering conditioned air out the other. Traditional ceiling cassettes send conditioned air out in 4 directions and take return air in at the center.
Slim Ceiling Cassette air handlers provide the same high-efficiency heating and cooling of a regular wall-mounted unit and come with a hand-held remote control. Once mounted in the ceiling, only the grille is visible for the most understated appearance.
This Slim Ceiling Cassette is rated for 6K, 9K and 12K Condensers and has a switch that allows you to change between settings as needed to fit your system.

The Slim Ceiling Cassette is designed to fit between 16” on-center joists, and the narrow profile means no changes to your framing will be required in most cases. Additionally, Ceiling Cassettes have factory-installed, onboard condensate pumps to lift the condensation up to 14 inches. From there, it will be necessary to construct a PVC drain system to route the condensation to a safe wastewater location. Refrigerant and wiring connections are the same as the wall-mounted units.

Purchased and installed in 2022 - worked well for 2 years besides some minor noise and leakage issues. Then main circuit board broke and was told it was apparently due to us not installing a surge protector. Service/Warranty support was responsive but it took us about 2 months to finally resolve issue and had to replace board 2-3 times, costing us a lot in HVAC tech visits and had to install window AC units (as the minisplits went out during prime summer heatwave in DC). After it was fixed, we installed a surge protector, and hasn't recurred again (although we are nervous it will). Overall, I wish I had purchased a unit that local HVAC techs could have parts for same day (instead of having to wait for a week or two for replacement control boards to be shipped across country), but purchased this unit during COVID when supplies were limited during a renovation unfortunately. I also over the past 4 years have tried over 20 times to contact support/manufacturer to get replacement air filters for the 5 mini splits and have never been able to get anyone knowledgeable and get the replacements.....so normal parts service (outside of warranty service) is just non-existent......you'll just keep getting redirected to the https://hvacdirect.com/part-quote site, but I've never received a response from that site (and its often down).......

I got 2 wall units up and running last week and so far so good. They are keeping the main level at the desired temp in 20 degree outdoor weather. This week is supposed to get much colder so we'll see. I still have 2 more ceiling cassettes to put on this condenser, but they are going to be a lot more work.

I have not finished the install yet, but I am very impressed with the design of the system; I really liked the attention to details in the design; the little kickstand in the air handler that holds it out from the wall while you attach the lineset. The kickstand that holds up the wiring module. The locking bar that holds up the cover. priceless! And the performance specs are awesome I think. And the condenser area seems larger than the other one I put in 5 years ago that I can't remember; probably is why it is so efficient. Not excited that the refrigerant leak sensor in the handlers have to be replaced after 15 years, but I understand that is how things are and they probably won't cost much by then.

I really like this brand for mini split systems. they have a wide range of BTU's and how many units you can put on them.
