A single-stage natural gas burner combined with direct-spark ignition (DSI) ensures reliable startup, consistent operation, and enhanced safety in cold-weather conditions.

With a 50–60°F temperature rise, strong airflow, and quiet operation at approximately 40 dBA, this gas unit heater provides effective space heating without excessive noise. The multi-point suspension design allows flexible ceiling mounting, while standard 115V power and multiple venting configurations make installation straightforward for both residential and commercial applications.

The ACiQ 30,000 BTU unit heater ships configured for natural gas and can be converted to propane using a factory-authorized conversion kit (sold separately), making it a versatile heating solution for a wide range of setups.

What type of venting do these unit heaters require? B-vent or PVC?

These units require Category I (B-vent) for vertical venting through the roof, or Category III for venting horizontally through side walls. The exhaust on these units exceeds a temperature that would allow for PVC Venting. If you have any further questions, please feel free to give us a call. Thanks!

Can ACiQ unit heaters be used in living spaces?

No. ACiQ unit heaters are certified for non-living spaces only, such as garages, workshops, and utility areas.

How loud are ACiQ unit heaters?

ACiQ unit heaters offer a vibration isolated propeller combined with thicker gauge steel and tighter panel construction resulting in minimal vibration, rattling, whistling, and "drum effect" noise that make entry level unit heaters loud and distracting. ACiQ 30K and 60K models operate at approximately 40 dBA, making them quiet enough for most workspaces.

Are thermostats included?

No. A standard 24V field-supplied thermostat is required and allows flexibility in thermostat selection.

Can these heaters run on propane?

Yes. A factory-approved propane conversion kit is available for all models, purchased separately.
