OVERVIEW

Inverter Condenser - Inverter technology changes AC power to DC, allowing the compressor inside your condenser to speed up and slow down. This allows the system to self-adjust BTU output based on demand. As the weather changes, so will your system output.

Learning system - This system is packed with sensors and controls air temperature inside and outside, system performance, duct pressure, refrigerant temperature. The first time you start your system it enters a learning mode keeping air moving across the sensors and storing information so future startups and run cycles will be at max efficiency.

Size for heat - The self-adjusting inverter design allows you to size your system based on heat demand. With standard heat pumps, sizing for heat can mean a muggy house during summer. The ACiQ Next Gen 3-ton heat pump system automatically adjusts to run like a 2 ton or a 1 ton to keep you cool and dry.

Extreme Heat Technology - Extreme Heat means extended temperature range heating all the way down to -22°F. Traditional heat pumps don't make significant heat below about 30°F outside temperature, below that, they rely on expensive backup electric heat. The ACiQ Next Gen with Extreme Heat uses the inverter to vary the refrigerant flow, allowing for maximum heat extraction during extreme cold temperatures. The backup electric heat supplements the heat pump, and only takes over below -22°. The heat pump gives 100% at 0°F, and still gives 80% at -22°F, saving you up to 75% on cold weather heating bills.

QUICK FACTS

36,000 BTU, 16 SEER2

With an efficiency rating of 16 SEER2, the variable output ACiQ-36-HPC will keep you comfortable across a wide range of conditions. Use our handy size calculator Here to determine the demand for your home. For cooling, this system can operate anywhere from 12,000 BTU to 36,000 BTU without short cycling. For heating, this system is capable of 28,000 BTU at -22°F all the way up to 58,588 BTU at 50°F. This increased range means it fits more possible applications.

Extreme Heat Base Pan Heater Technology

Each ACiQ condenser has integrated Extreme Heat technology to maximize heat performance in extreme cold weather. Extended heat pump performance (HyperHeat) harnesses the power of inverter condenser with outdoor temp sensing, variable refrigerant flow and variable condenser fan speed to maximize heat extraction all the way down to -22°F. I have had my system for two summers and two winters now, and have been very impressed with the heating and cooling costs, the quiet operation and how well it seems to be holding up. The condensing unit outside still looks like new, with no fading or rust spots. I installed the entire system myself and the installation instructions were easy enough to understand, especially since I bought a matched system. I've been really impressed with heat this thing can still produce even at 10 degrees outside. I've not had auxiliary heat come on at all.
The ONE thing I hate is that you can not have the air handler fan run in automatic on cooling when using the two wire thermostat. That causes me a bad humidity problem in the summer and I've had to try to control it by shutting off the system or turning it to dehumidify only, until it freezes me and I have to shut if off. I've heard you can install a regular 24 volt thermostat and have the ability to only run the fan when it's cooling, but you'll loose some efficiency, and that kinda defeats the point of having a high efficiency system!

It all started when my furnace wanted to start and stop regardless of the thermostat. I tested everything sure enough my e0 yr old furnace was slowly dying. I ordered a new system. I took a week to plan and choose. We decided on a heat pump system. We'll I ordered a regular A/C with electric heat... then I provided the wrong email by accident during the order process so I didn't get any alerts or updates. I called and we got that fixed. Then later that day the email came. As I reviewed the details I realized at 6pm Friday night roughly 7 hours after placing the order it was the wrong systrm!! Some how it populated in the heat pump category. Any how they were quick to cancel the order. The process was pretty quick compared to other places even though it felt like it was taking forever. But they managed to contact the shipping vendor and hold the shipment. We got it canceled and their awesomely awesome sales team navigated through all the options I wanted and they put it all together for me. I ordered it officially about a week and half after the wrong one was canceled. It arrived very well packed and clean. The setup was easy and everything I needed for parts were there. Nothing missing!!! That's an amazing thing these days. If I ever need anything they have I'm ordering it from.them. they are fantastic!!! R&L is a great shipping company too! Attention to detail. Thanks

Replaced my heating and cooling equipment due to the age of existing equipment. I had excess solar power so I wanted to use a cold climate heat pump to heat the house to keep my energy bill the same. The heat pump has performed well keeping your 2500 sq ft house at 68F in upstate NY. The system run time varies depending on outside temp and uses about 3.5kw to 4.5 kw per hour when heating. Its going to be cold next week which will be a good test to see it can keep up will with below zero temps outside. Have not tested the cooling side since it was installed in December. No issues with the furnace its worked great heating the house using the natural gas side of the hybrid system. Tech support was very helpful because the installer had not installed a ACIQ heat pump brand and assisted in configuring the dip switches in the Heat Pump for use with a non communicating thermostat. Hoping it last as long as old stuff removed.

This thing came stupidly fast and I was able to install it at a reasonable pace. My only small complaint is that the unit shipped with one set of braze to flare adapters, not 2. They obviously provided the adapters for replacement applications, which mine was, but to reuse existing lines you need one set of adapters inside and a second outside. I bought the Mr Cool set for 50 bucks from Lowes. Again it is not a big deal, but when you get half of the adapter solution with it, you have to wonder why not the full deal.

The unit seems to work well so far. It cools and heats but we have yet to have any weather that stresses it. The instructions were so so. It wasn't blatantly obvious what unit I needed to look at in the instructions as they applied to many variants.

Before ordering, I had questions, all were answered and put my mind at ease. Unit arrived in December; took until June to get the install. Install was easy per installer. Worked fantastic, then after a week, the old thermostat as blank. Replaced t stat with a newer model, and again works great. This week is the first over 90 degree days this summer, I am sure it will have no problems. I am very impressed at how quite this unit runs and how quickly the humidity level in my home dropped. Now I need to replace my blower with one that is quiet...I never knew how loud it is until now. My condo unit is a 'garden' unit, and the two hvac's for units above me are outside my unit. They now sound very loud now. I will be recommending the ACIQ to the Property Manager for future Owner upgrades.

Customer Questions
What happens if this breaks down?
HVACDirect.com gives you lifetime tech support. Many common problems can be solved with a phone call to us. HVACDirect.com is an authorized dealer of ACiQ, therefore equipment we sell carries the full manufacturer's warranty. The warranty applies to all parts. You have to register the products online in order to extend the warranty to the full 10 years, otherwise the term is 5 years. If a part fails under warranty, you will not pay anything for the replacement part. Should a part fail under warranty, the first step is to have a professional confirm what part needs to be replaced. Then, contact us at customerservice@hvacdirect.com or by calling and asking for customer service.
What happens if it arrives damaged?
If you are present during drop-off and you see obvious signs of damage or rough handling in transit - please ask the driver to wait while you inspect the equipment. If it is damaged badly enough that you believe it can not function, you have the right to refuse the damaged portion of the shipment. If you discover the damage after the driver has left, take photos of the damage and send them to customerservice@hvacdirect.com. Please refer to your order number in the email. This starts the process and one of our representatives will be in touch with you promptly.
How can I find an installer?
It’s easier than you think – the key is to find an independent contractor or small company as opposed to a larger HVAC service. A one or two person outfit will do the work more quickly and cheaply than a bigger company, too. Yelp.com, Thumbtack.com, and Porch.com are websites are designed to help you connect with a professional in your area. You could also place a call to the last professional who did work on your home and see if they have any recommendations.
Should I order a new lineset?
Our top recommendation – protect your investment by replacing your lineset when you replace your air conditioning. Leftover oil and or contaminants in the old lineset can enter your new system and reduce the lifespan. If, on the other hand, you wish to avoid replacing the lineset, we do carry flush kits to clean out incompatible oils and contaminants.

Is ACiQ better than Mitsubishi?
Mitsubishi makes great equipment, certainly. They were first to sell mini splits in the US, and they have a solid reputation. Yet ACiQ has higher SEER ratings, longer warranty, and extreme weather performance all the way down to -22! You can spend more on a mini split, but you can't get better value.
Who owns ACiQ?
1HVAC Energy is part of a family of companies with 80 years in the industry and a long reputation of putting customers first. They own ACiQ as well as a number of other quality brands.
Who will service it if something goes wrong?
You get lifetime phone support with every ACiQ mini split. Many problems can be handled by our experts without having to call in a serviceperson. If you need a serviceperson, ACiQ shares a manufacturer with Carrier mini splits. This means that highly trained technicians across the country are very familiar with these units.
Can I get a 3 zone split 0utside heat pump unit and purchase inside handlers one at a time?
Expandability is a great feature of multi-zone mini splits, however, all multizone mini splits of any brand require minimum two air handlers being attached in order to function.  Other than that, the only consideration is that you purchase an outdoor unit with enough capacity and enough connections to accommodate all the air handlers you will eventually attach. If you have any further questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to one of our experienced customer service representatives and they would be happy to assist you. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
How will it perform in the state of Maine when temperatures get to -20
The ACiQ-36-HPC heat pump is designed for cold climates and rated to perform at over 50% capacity down to -22°F. If that isn't satisfactory it can be combined with a coil and a traditional furnace for a dual fuel setup.
