This packaged gas/electric system provides 4 tons, or 48,000 BTU, of cooling capacity along with 90,000 BTU of gas-heating input. Its single-stage scroll compressor and multi-speed ECM blower motor work together to deliver consistent cooling, effective humidity reduction, and dependable heating comfort. The integrated gas furnace uses a single-stage gas valve and direct spark ignition, which operates only when the thermostat calls for heat to help conserve fuel.

The PGB448090K000B offers 13.4 SEER2 and 11.05 EER2 cooling efficiency, along with 81.0% AFUE heating efficiency. Its stainless-steel tubular heat exchanger is designed for corrosion resistance and efficient heat transfer, while the corrosion-resistant aluminum coil and protective cabinet features help the unit withstand outdoor exposure. Sound-reducing features, including a vibration-reducing top panel and soft-mounted compressor and blower motor, support quieter operation.

Installation Versatility

This self-contained packaged unit is designed for either downflow or horizontal applications and can be installed at ground level or on a rooftop. The unit is factory configured for horizontal installation and includes two horizontal duct covers; downflow operation can be configured in the field to accommodate vertical ductwork connections. A compatible heat/cool thermostat with humidity sensing is recommended for full system control.
