I ordered a Buck Stove and liner in November and it’s now installed and working great. I love it. When I first ordered it, I initially got an email from you saying it may be on back order and no shipping info could be given. I would have tried to cancel the order but Elizabeth was most helpful in checking on this and getting back to me asap. It did go out timely. Elizabeth has great customer service skills.

I haven't installed our new fireplace yet, but I was thrilled with how quickly the shipping went (just over 1 week) when I was told it could be up to 6 weeks. The delivery guy was friendly and helpful, and everything seemed to arrive correctly. We definitely will look to you guys when buying further heating stuff!

I got a wood stove so I wont use it for a couple months yet. I did have some trouble with the tracking of the shipment and had to talk with a third party shipping company myself to get the order where it needed to be but wasn’t to bad.

Just hooked mine up and it is everything they promised. This stove puts out heat with a great 12 hour burn time. Only wish they included the legs and the flu collar with the stove. You need to buy them seperate. Outstanding stove you will be glad you bought it.

Customer Questions
Can the fan motor be turned off and on manually too or does it work only by thermostat?
The blower can be operated in one of two ways: operating continuously or controlled by an internal thermostat. If you have any further questions please feel free to give us a call! Thanks.
I have an older Buck Stove. If I send you a photo of it can you tell me which new Buck Stove repaces it?
We can most certainly help you find a replacement for your Buck Stove. Please send your photos to sales@hvacdirect.com or give us a call. Thanks!!!
Do I need a blower for my fireplace insert?
A blower is a great addition to a fireplace insert that helps boost heat output and improves efficiency by circulating warm air more effectively throughout your room. While most inserts can operate without a blower, adding one is beneficial if you want faster, more even heating. If extra heat isn’t necessary, your insert will still work well without a blower.
What is a faceplate or surround for a fireplace insert?
A faceplate, surround, or trim kit is used with fireplace inserts to cover and close the gap between the insert and the fireplace opening. It helps create a clean, finished look while ensuring a proper fit, and should be sized slightly larger than your fireplace’s width and height. Various sizes are available to match common fireplace openings for a seamless installation.
Do any wood inserts qualify for a federal tax credit?
Yes, wood-burning inserts that meet government efficiency standards and qualify for the 30% federal tax credit are clearly marked at the top of each product description on HVACDirect.com. You can also view all qualifying models in one place at https://hvacdirect.com/stoves/tax-credit-stoves.html to find the best option for your home.
Do I need a chimney liner for my wood stove or fireplace insert?
A stainless steel chimney liner kit is always recommended when installing a wood-burning fireplace insert or freestanding stove in a masonry chimney. The liner ensures a consistent and safe flow of exhaust gases, improving the draft and overall efficiency of your appliance while protecting your chimney from heat and corrosion. Using a chimney liner helps maintain safety and enhances stove performance.
What size wood insert is right for my home?
Choosing the right size wood insert depends on both your heating needs and the dimensions of your existing fireplace. Be sure to measure your fireplace’s width, height, and depth, then compare those to the minimum fireplace dimensions listed on each product page to ensure a proper fit. Generally, small inserts heat up to 1,500 sq. ft., medium inserts cover up to 2,500 sq. ft., and large inserts can heat areas larger than 2,500 sq. ft., though actual performance varies based on factors like firewood type, room layout, ceiling height, and insulation.
What is the weight of the Buck 91?
The Buck 91 weighs 620lbs. Please give us a call if we can help further. Thanks!
Does the fireplace inserts have ash tray at the bottom?
Yes, the Model 91 has an ash pan. If you have any further questions, please feel free to give us a call! Thanks.
What is involved in replacing the catalytic converter?
The replacement of the insert's catalyst is a multi-step process that we suggest reviewing on page 23 of the installation manual before deciding if you as a homeowner would like to complete it or hire a professional. https://hvacdirect.com/media/hvac/pdf/BuckStove-91-Install.pdf If you have any further questions please feel free to give us a call! Thanks.
Is this model rated for manufactured homes?
This model is not rated for manufactured homes. If you have any further questions please feel free to give us a call! Thanks.

Can this unit be installed inside a large UL list wood-burning fireplace?
As long as the minimum fireplace dimensions are met, yes, this unit can be installed into a fireplace. If you have any further questions please feel free to give us a call! Thanks.
The 28 7/8" depth, how much of that is past the fireplace opening and sits on the hearth?
The insert requires a minimum distance inside of the fireplace of 15 ½”. 28 7/8”-15 ½ = 13 3/8”+/- on the hearth. That is the furthest point as well, generally the ash lip or the stove top.   If you have any further questions please feel free to give us a call! Thanks
