The Goodman brand GCVC96 High-Efficiency Gas Furnace with two-stage gas valve and a variable-speed circulating blower provides efficient and economical performance. Unlike single-stage gas furnaces that operate ‘all on’ or ‘all off,’ a Goodman brand two-stage gas furnace typically runs at the lowest possible speed to precisely maintain a constant, steady temperature in your home. A two-stage gas furnace optimizes its heating output to maximize indoor comfort and lower energy costs.
The Goodman brand GMVC96 Gas Furnace is ComfortNetTM compatible. Homeowner benefits of this system include: advanced diagnostics, automatic maintenance alerts, and continuous monitoring of the system’s performance.
These furnaces are run-tested for heating or combination heating/cooling applications. With a corrosion-resistant, painted steel cabinet, these heaters can be installed in a utility room, closet, alcove, basement or attic. (Not intended for use in mobile homes.)
Features:
The Goodman® GSX16 UP TO 16 SEER Central Air Conditioner uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R-410A and features energy efficiencies and operating sound levels that are among the best in the heating and air conditioning industry. R-410A is chlorine-free to help prevent damage to the ozone layer. The GSX16 features a high-efficiency Copeland® scroll compressor and is designed for the consumer who desires superior comfort, quiet operation, and environmentally friendly air conditioning performance.
In order to achieve the 16 SEER efficiency this central air conditioner must be installed with the manufacturer recommended evaporator coil, furnace, variable speed air handler, or variable speed modular blower and thermostatic expansion valve (TXV). A 16 SEER system will reduce your electric bill approximately 7% - 8% more than a 15 SEER system.
Please note that this air conditioning equipment comes pre-charged with R-410A liquid refrigerant and by Federal law cannot be released to the atmosphere. Yes, you can purchase this equipment without being EPA certified. And, if you are mechanically inclined you may perform about 90% of the equipment installation yourself. However, we strongly recommend to have a professional heating/cooling contractor do the final part of the installation including managing the refrigerant. An HVAC contractor has the tools and know-how to do this work.
