Our website has a massive selection of Heat Pump Systems for you to choose from. That’s because every home and business have different needs and preferences when it comes to heating and cooling. Some factors that affect your choice are the size of your space, the technical features, the installation process, the space availability, the climate conditions, and more. All these specifics can be overwhelming to a customer, and that is where our Goodman Build-Your-Own Heat Pump System comes into play! Just answer a few simple questions about your needs. As you do, you will see the price update automatically and you can buy it with one click. After that, our expert sales team will match your order with the most suitable, high-quality system from our ready-to-ship inventory.
The questions to answer are the same standard questions you may be asked by a contractor. Please note that not every combination may be available. All systems are multi-positional and utilize R32 refrigerant. The included condenser will be a 14.3 SEER2 model unless you specify a higher SEER2 rating in the Condenser Upgrades section. If there are any issues with the selections you have provided, we will reach out to you to ensure that the system you receive is suitable for your home. For more information on each question, please see below:
A heat pump condenser's tonnage is a measure of how much warm or cool air it can produce. Tonnage scales upward with house sizes, with 3 ton being the typical size for most houses. Please note that other factors may affect the ideal tonnage your house needs.
Modern air handlers have a standardized cabinet width of either 14", 17.5", 21", and 24.5". Simply measure the width of the face of your current air handler to determine what width you need. Note: 14" wide air handlers are uncommon for most heat pump system configurations. If your setup requires a 14" wide air handler, please give us a call and our team will help you out.
Supplemental electric heat kits are an optional add-on for the system's air handler. They provide heat during colder days that fall below the heat pump's usual temperature threshold for operating (around 35°F). If you live in an area where the temperature may fall below that threshold, consider purchasing a heat kit with your system.
These options are not mandatory for any specific type of home. They are provided for those that want greater efficiency and more precise control over their heat pump system.
