Applewood Smoked Brisket with PGS Grills

Applewood Smoked Brisket

  • 3 1/2 pound beef brisket
  • 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • mix together 1 tsp kosher salt, 4 tsp course ground black pepper, 1 tsp garlic powder, and 1 tsp onion powder.
  • Apply olive oil to the brisket and season all the sides generously.
  • Marinate for 24 hours
  • Preheat your grill to 250 degrees, only using one burner for an indirect cook.
  • Fill your chip steam with your choice of applewood chips and place on the hit side of your PGS grill (Make sure to soak chips for 30 minutes)
  • Cook low and slow for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
  • After cook time is done, slice your brisket and enjoy!
