80% AFUE, 40,000 BTU

The LNAEA040A1 has a 80% AFUE efficiency rating. This means that it converts 4/5ths the fuel it uses into heat, leaving the remaining 20% vented out as a combustible byproduct. With this furnace's 40,000 BTU input, this means that 80% of that input (32,000 BTU) goes to heating your home. Please note that all 80% furnaces are required to use metal flue venting. Do not use plastic or PVC flues with this or any other 80% furnace.

A furnace this size is ideal for heating small homes in ideal climate conditions. This furnace is made to be paired with LG's heat pump condensers as part of a dual fuel system with two sources of heat. An internally-embedded communication kit is built into the heat pump that sends signals between it and the furnace, which will determine whether the heat pump or the furnace is the more efficient of the two heating options. This will lead to lower gas and power bills overall.

Single Stage Multi-Speed Furnace

The LNAEA040A1 has only one heat output. This furnace will burn at 100% output whenever gas heat is needed over the heat pump condenser's heat. Its efficient multi-speed ECM blower motor will help evenly distribute this heat throughout your home. The blower will additionally make the entire operation more quiet overall.

LG's furnaces are built with corrosion-resistant stainless steel tubular heat exchangers that ensure longevity and efficient heat transfer. Their insulated cabinets are built with durable, heavy-gauge steel that reduces noise and heat loss, all while providing easy-access panels to their internal components as well as factory TXV connections for quicker installations. A self-diagnostic control board is built into each furnace that monitors how it performs. If any issues are detected, LED codes will be displayed as a quick reference for faster maintenance to the unit overall.

Warranty

This furnace includes a lifetime heat exchanger warranty and a 5 year parts warranty from the date of purchase. Register within 60 days of residential installation to upgrade the parts warranty terms to 10 years for the original homeowner, starting from the installation date.
