Quality
The Modine electric unit heater has an automatic safety reset control. This control is to keep a safe environment and cuts the power supply until the temperature has fallen to acceptable operating level. This HER100 model comes in a neutral color baked-on polyester paint, preventing corrosion and increasing durability while blending in with many different environments.
Simplicity
The HER100 is easy to maintain and service as it has an easily accessible bottom panel that allows access to the wiring components. Electric unit heaters tend to be less costly than a gas or hydronic heater as well as easier to install due to not needing to connect to gas lines.
Equipped with a control compartment that has terminal blocks, fuses, and the larger transformer. Having them in a central location is for easy access and protection from high current elements and damage.
Flexibility
Modine's HER100C features flexibility with installation and control through its accessories. Additional add-ons are available alongside the various mounting and thermostat options. The Vertical Deflector Blade Kit deflects the airflow at an angle to the left or right, enabling corner installations for the unit. The Summer-Winter Toggle Switch alters thermostat control when toggled to its winter or summer settings. When set to winter, the thermostat will control the heater's fan and heating elements. When set to summer, the fan will be able to run continuously while the thermostat controls just the heating elements.
Durability
The motor included on the HER100 is thermally protected and entirely enclosed. It also has rubber vibration guards and an aluminum fan to give this unit heater a longer lifecycle. Having nickel-chromium wire elements enclosed in powder-filled aluminum coated steel tubes allows for the Modine unit heater to be resistant to thermal shock and vibration.

- Seem to be fineThe heaters I purchased seem to be fine. The mounting brackets that came with them were flimsy so we improvised our own. Easily done!
The thermostats show no temperature. Only a colt to warn designation. While this works it is not as good as a specific temperature adjustment.Posted on
