The directions for both the mini split and PTAC were not great.

Also, it was not stated anywhere that the lowest setting for the mini split was 62. We had hoped we could have set it at 50 where it installed just to prevent freezing.

Despite all of that, we would do it again.

What does it take to recharge this unit if it runs out of refrigerant?

The unit uses R-410A refrigerant. For exact amount, please refer to the model number label on the side of the condenser. If you have any further questions, please call us and we will be happy to assist you.

Does this unit have a "follow me" feature to use the remote as the thermostat?

Can you set this up for air conditioning only and no heat?

Thank you for your question The condenser for this Perfect Aire system is a heat pump which means that the system has the built in capability to both heat and cool. However, the system is designed so that the owner can control the mode that it operates in via the thermostat setting. Therefore, if the you have no need for the heating operation, the condenser's heating mode can go unused with no consequence to the operation of the system.

What is width of the inside wall unit. The 18,000 BTU unit?

Thank you for your question. The indoor air handling unit included with this 18,000 BTU mini split system has a width of 37.99". It has a depth of 8.46" and a height of 12.56". Installation kit for condenser?

Thank you for your question. This mini split system comes with many of the accessories required for a complete installation. This Perfect Aire system includes the indoor air handler, the outdoor condenser, the drain tune, the line set, the mounting bracket for the indoor air handler and many other pieces required for installation. For a full list of what is included, please review page 3 of the user's manual. This manual can be found under the product specifications on the product page. Some additional accessories would include the condenser kit. The condenser kit includes items that are required for the electrical aspects of the systems installation. The kit includes a surge protector, a disconnect switch and an electrical whip. We would also recommend a wall bracket or condenser slab for the outdoor unit and the line set cover guards to both protect and camouflage the line set.
