I installed an MG1 furnace with the recommended roof jack. It is burning bad and sooting. What is my problem?

It's likely you have the furnace set to the wrong fuel type. Depending on whether you are using Natural Gas or Propane, the furnace needs to be converted by a professional to do so. This burning and sooting you are experiencing can produce carbon monoxide. The best move is to get in contact with a local professional as the sooner this is resolved, the better off you are. How are the Revolv roof jacks measured for 21” to 35”? Is the measurement taken below the roof flashing?

To measure for the correct size roofjack needed, take the following steps: First, take two measurements from where the furnace is located - measure the distance from the floor to the ceiling and the distance from the ceiling to the roof. Next, add those two measurements together. Then, subtract the height of the furnace from your combined measurement. Finally, your end result is the height of the roofjack you need.
