The GLXS4BA1810 Goodman condenser is a 1.5 ton unit, meaning that it can cover up to a small home in an ideal climate. In some unit bundles, the required AC coil may be larger than this condenser in tonnage. This is intentional, as it maintains the unit's efficiency.
14.3 SEER2
The GLXS4BA1810 AC-only conditioner can be up to 14.3 SEER2 in efficiency when paired with the proper equipment. As the standard efficiency on the market for all states, this unit is average in efficiency. Every SEER2 point is 5-7% more efficient than the one lower than it, saving you money the higher the SEER2 rating of the unit. Please note that this product is regulated by DOE Efficiency Standards.
Warranty
The GLXS4BA1810 condenser comes with Goodman's standard 10 year parts warranty with online registration through the manufacturer. An installation that follows your state and local codes is required for the warranty to be upheld.

The GLXS4BA1810 Goodman AC condenser cabinet has a baked-on painted finish and is made of a galvanized-steel, making it approved for up to 500 hours of salt-spray and compliant with the 2010 Florida building code integrity requirements for hurricane-type winds when properly anchored. 2 Tons
The Goodman AMST24BU1300 air handler is rated for an output of 2 tons. In many cases, the tonnage of the air handler will be larger than the condenser that it is naturally paired with. This is intentional, and is to maintain the overall efficiency of the unit. While the unit does require a condenser to function as part of a heat pump or air conditioner, heat strips may be installed in the air handler to provide straight electric heating, which can be used as an electric furnace on its own or as a backup heat option for a heat pump setup.
Warranty
The AMST24BU1300 comes with Goodman's standard 10 year parts warranty when registered online through the manufacturer. Please note that in order for the warranty to be upheld, the installation must be compliant to all related local and state codes, as well as the unit must be paired with an approved condenser.

15 Kilowatt 51,150 BTU Goodman Heater Coil
This 240 volt heater coil can be added to a Goodman air handler to provide winter-time heating capabilities.
Produces 51,150 BTUs of heat.
Controlled by sequencers for optimum temperature balance. Completely assembled and tested. Built-in overcurrent protection on all units as indicated in electrical data chart (see spec sheet). Multiple branch circuit capability. High temperature limit controls for safe operation. Plug-in wiring harness for easy installation into air handlers. Rust-resistant nickel chromium heat elements.
If you are installing a heater coil in an air handler, line voltage is to be connected directly to the heater coil which will operate both the heater coil and air handler. A separate circuit for the air handler is not needed.Â
Depending on the heater coil size being installed, one or two circuits to the heater coil will be necessary (see "PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS" below for quantity and amperage of circuits required for this heater coil.) At your home's circuit panel, individual 220 volt double-pole circuit breakers are required for each circuit.
