The Goodman AVPTC37B14 air handler is a variable speed, energy efficient unit compatible with ComfortNet communicating technology. If you want the best of the best air handler for your home, the AVPTC37B14 is the best option for you.
The AVPTC37B14 air handler is rated for an output of 3 tons. In many cases, this tonnage will be larger than the condenser it is paired with, which increases the overall efficiency of the unit. Please note that this air handler needs a condenser to heat or cool. For straight heating or when backup heat is necessary in a heat pump application, the air handler is able to accommodate heat strips, available at an additional cost to be field-installed.
Goodman offers a 10 year parts warranty with online registration and when the unit is matched with a covered condenser. Please note that installation that follows your state and local codes is required, normally requiring an EPA-certified installer for most of the work.
The Goodman AVPTC37B14 comes with a factory-installed TXV kit, preventing the need to install one to increase the unit’s efficiency. The unit is also able to be installed in any orientation—upflow, downflow, or horizontal—which allows it to be extremely versatile in application. For easy maintenance, there are two access panels on the unit, and there is a CFM indicator and a front-panel sight glass. There is also a built-in control board function that helps you diagnose the unit should the need arise.
The Goodman AVPTC37B14 is ComfortNet compatible, allowing it to communicate with compatible condensers. The variable speed motor provides the most precise temperature control possible. The Goodman GSXN3N3010 is a cooling-only condenser unit. Providing a 13.4 SEER2 efficiency with a single stage, reciprocating compressor, the GSXN3N3010 is an inexpensive condenser to cool your home when paired with an AC coil.
The GSXN3N3010 condenser is a 2.5 ton AC only unit. In an ideal climate situation, the GSXN3N3010 can usually cover a medium-sized house. For this unit to function, an indoor air handler or coil is required, and this unit is cooling only with no heating capacity on its own.
The Goodman GSXN3N3010 AC condenser is designed to be 13.4 SEER2. This is the lowest efficiency on the market today, making it an inexpensive option for northern states. Please note that this product is regulated by DOE Efficiency Standards.
Due to new efficiency requirements, this unit cannot be installed in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
The GSXN3N3010 condenser comes with Goodman's standard 10 year parts warranty with online registration through the manufacturer. An installation that follows your state and local codes is required for the warranty to be upheld.
With an enhanced copper tube and aluminum fin coil, the GSXN3N3010 is designed to prevent coil degradation. With the baked-on powder-paint finish, the condenser's heavy-gauge galvanized-steel cabinet is approved for up to 500 hours of salt-spray. The factory-installed filter dryer lowers general wear-and-tear on the unit. All of these features provide you with a durable, reliable condenser to be used whenever you need to cool your home.
The Goodman GSXN3N3010 AC condenser comes standard with service valves that have sweat connections and easy-access gauge ports, both providing a lower installation difficulty and time to lower installation costs. The outer casing has both a top and a side access to allow for easier maintenance and warranty access when necessary.
