A Goodman combination system is a great choice to keep your home comfortable all season long. With tons of extra features and a great price, a Goodman furnace and air conditioning system is the perfect choice for all of your heating and cooling needs.
With top of the line technology at high efficiency, two stage burner, and variable speed blower motor, the GCVC960603BN is another high-end gas furnace manufactured by Goodman. With enhanced durability and reliability, you can expect this Goodman gas furnace to perform well throughout its life to provide consistent comfort and lower the overall cost of bills to keep money in your pocket for many years to come.
The GCVC960603BN Goodman gas furnace has an input of 60,000 BTU’s. The output of the unit is 57,600 BTU’s (input X efficiency = output). This size of furnace is normally suitable for most medium-sized houses in an ideal climate.
With one of the highest efficiency ratings available, the GCVC960603BN gas furnace is 96% efficient. At this efficiency, the GCVC960603BN uses only 4% of its gas to operate the furnace itself and 96% of the gas going into the furnace to make your home warm and comfortable. With all gas furnaces at 90% efficiency and above like this one, the flue venting must be plastic or PVC.
Allowing for a more precise air flow output to best suit your home’s needs, the motor on the GCVC960603BN is a variable speed ECM blower motor, the best blower motor that Goodman offers to date. The two stage burner on the furnace allows for a lower output and a higher output for a more precise heat output as needed by your thermostat. Both of these high-end features allow for a small increase in efficiency, but the primary benefits are enhanced comfort and a more stable temperature throughout any season of the furnace’s use.
The GCVC960603BN comes standard with Goodman’s 10 year parts warranty and its exceptional lifetime heat exchanger warranty. In order to maintain this warranty, the installation must follow your state and local codes and the unit must be registered online via Goodman’s website.
The heavy-duty heat exchanger on the Goodman GCVC960603BN gas furnace is designed for constant use to provide enhanced reliability. The aluminized steel structure of this heat exchanger allows for a faster and more efficient heat transfer rate. Moreover, the outer casing on the unit is a heavier gauge of steel, protecting the internals of the furnace and lowering air leakage and furnace operation noise. All of these features enhance comfort and provide durability and reliability for the lifetime of the unit.
The GCVC960603BN furnace runs on natural gas from the factory. When you field-install the optional LP conversion kit (found here at an additional cost), this furnace can use propane instead when the installation requires it. This Goodman furnace is also able to be installed in the downflow or horizontal positions, allowing for a more versatile application potential.
Goodman's TXV valves are designed to improve the reliability and efficiency of your central split system. With the TX3N4, you can be assured that your two-and-a-half or three ton system is getting the proper refrigerant flow, even through changing conditions. Since this valve is installed externally, it is easy to service and maintain. If you're looking to improve the efficiency and performance of your system, the TX3N4 is a good start.

Inverter Condenser - Inverter technology changes AC power to DC, allowing the compressor inside your condenser to speed up and slow down. This allows the system to self-adjust BTU output based on demand. As the weather changes, so will your system output.
Learning System - This system is packed with sensors and controls air temperature inside and outside, system performance, duct pressure, refrigerant temperature. The first time you start your system it enters a learning mode keeping air moving across the sensors and storing information so future startups and run cycles will be at max efficiency.
Size for Cooling - The self-adjusting inverter design allows you to size your system based on cooling demand. The ACiQ Next Gen 2.5-ton heat pump system automatically adjusts to run like a 2 ton or a 1 ton to keep you cool and dry.
With an efficiency rating of 15.2 SEER, the variable output ACIQ-30-AC-UPG will keep you comfortable across a wide range of conditions. Use our handy size calculator Here to determine the demand for your home. This system can operate anywhere from 12,000 BTU to 30,000 BTU without short cycling.
Feedback highlights smooth ordering, delivery in as fast as 3 days, easy installations, and quiet operation, with one 2-year-old unit still blowing 47 degree air and a furnace matched to a 1500 sq ft home with a 3 degree design temperature. However, some report issues including a 4-ton 14 SEER model maintaining only 82° at 116° ambient, capacitors failing twice in four years or within three years, a very noisy condenser, a missing brass service valve cap, and a nonworking compressor at installation.
