In many system configurations, the tonnage of the unit's paired coil or air handler will be larger in tonnage than this condenser, which maintains the efficiency of the unit.

15.2 SEER2

The RunTru by Trane A5HL5024A1000A heat pump condenser is rated at 15.2 SEER2, making it between 5-7% more efficient than standard 14.3 SEER2 units, saving you money in electric bills over the entire lifetime of your unit. In general, heat pumps will heat more efficiently than straight electric furnaces.

Inverter Technology

The A5HL5024A1000A inverter technology changes AC power to DC, giving the compressor the ability to speed up and slow down at will. This allows the system to adjust BTU output based on demand, giving you ultra-precise control over the temperature of your home.

Disclaimer: This condenser contains R454B refrigerant, which is classified as an A2L refrigerant. To comply with safety standards, this unit must be paired with an R454B air handler or evaporator coil equipped with a leakage detection system. If it is damaged badly enough that you believe it can not function, you have the right to refuse the damaged portion of the shipment. If you discover the damage after the driver has left, take photos of the damage and send them to customerservice@hvacdirect.com. Please refer to your order number in the email. This starts the process and one of our representatives will be in touch with you promptly.
How can I find an installer?
It’s easier than you think – the key is to find an independent contractor or small company as opposed to a larger HVAC service. A one or two person outfit will do the work more quickly and cheaply than a bigger company, too. Yelp.com, Thumbtack.com, and Porch.com are websites are designed to help you connect with a professional in your area. You could also place a call to the last professional who did work on your home and see if they have any recommendations.
Should I order a new lineset?
Our top recommendation – protect your investment by replacing your lineset when you replace your air conditioning. Leftover oil and or contaminants in the old lineset can enter your new system and reduce the lifespan. If, on the other hand, you wish to avoid replacing the lineset, we do carry flush kits to clean out incompatible oils and contaminants.
Which models are treated for coastal climates?
All of our Trane condensers are approved for coastal installations. For these locations, Trane recommends giving them a monthly rinse with fresh water to maintain their finish. If you have any further questions, please call us and we will be happy to assist you.
Where is RunTru by Trane HVAC equipment made?
