Customized Installation and Operation
The Ultra70 gives you three ways to install it. Tie it into your existing HVAC system with a dedicated 8" return and a supply connection with backdraft damper. Run it on its own separate ductwork. Or set it freestanding in a basement or crawl space when ducting isn't practical.
Both the return air inlet and supply air outlet use 8" duct collars. The back panel comes configured for horizontal flow through and rotates for vertical flow through with a T20 torx bit, which is what lets the same unit work in an attic, a closet, or under a floor.
Fresh air ventilation is optional and simple to add. A "T" into the inlet duct brings outdoor air into the system to dilute pollutants and maintain normal oxygen levels indoors, and the volume is adjustable with a range of dampers and controls.

The AQ-GR9T961004CN ACiQ gas furnace is a 96% efficient furnace, making it a condensing setup. This efficiency means that only 4% of the fuel going into the furnace is used up in furnace operations, while 96% of the fuel is used to heat your home. As a condensing furnace, this furnace will need to be vented with plastic or PVC flue venting. If you need to use metal flue venting, you would need an 80% efficient furnace.
Two Stage 9-Speed Furnace
With a two stage burner, the AQ-GR9T961004CN provides two heating outputs: one at a 60% heating output and one at a 100% output. The furnace also has a 9 speed ECM motor instead of the last-generation inefficient PSC motor. Ordered furnace, ac coil, and condenser to match. Upon arrival all three items we're damaged, I refused shipment and took pictures. I contacted HVAC direct immediately and informed them of the situation. They sent out new equipment without any delay and the new shipment arrived quicker than the first. Second time around all HVAC equipment is in great condition. I have not finished installing yet, but I am impressed with the speed in which HVAC direct solved my shipping damage. I will be ordering more in the future because of their willingness to make a bad situation good!

Great unit! Showed up on time and in great condition. Packaging was excellent and very secure. All pieces were included. Got the plenum kit which came with a lot of metal screws too. Unit hooked up and is working great! I was without heat so having these guys to talk with and sort out details was key to my purchase. Contacting them during shipping to make sure everything was on time was easy and no hassle. Unit was well priced and I feel I got a great deal over all and isn't that what it's all about?
If I ever upgrade and add A/C I'll be buying from here only. Once you treat me right you keep my business until you don't. Only fair.

This furnace is replacing a Goodman I installed in 2002. Everything went smoothly but I wished it would be easier to read the wiring markers. I pretty much had to lay on the floor to see them because they're marked on the bottom not the top of the connections.

First time installing a Goodman, I have replaced quite a few of the older models. Everything hooked up fine only issue was shutting off the R32 sensor , didn't realize i needed to do that until it was to late. Took a few attempts to reset the codes but after a quick video on YouTube from their links it was fixed. Over all I'm very happy with it and so is the customer. It's nice when the install takes less that 6 hours start to finish.
