The Goodman GMVC80604BN furnace features a two stage gas valve, variable-speed blower motor, and provides exceptional indoor comfort and quiet operation. This furnace is compatible with the Comfortnet communicating system and is designed for uplfow or horizontal configurations. These furnaces are run-tested for heating or combination heating and cooling applications. Not intended for use in mobile homes.

Goodman AC Units - The Goodman GSXC160361 16 SEER Central Air Conditioner uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R-410A and features energy efficiencies and operating sound levels that are among the best in the heating and air conditioning industry. R-410A is chlorine-free to help prevent damage to the ozone layer. The GSXC160361 features the two-stage, high-efficiency Copeland UltraTech scroll compressor, which provides improved temperature and humidity control. This unit is designed for the consumer who desires superior comfort, quiet operation, and environmentally friendly air conditioning performance.
In order to achieve the 16 SEER efficiency this central air conditioner must be installed with the manufacturer recommended evaporator coil, a Goodman variable speed furnace, variable speed air handler, or variable speed modular blower and thermostatic expansion valve (TXV). A 16 SEER system will reduce your electric bill approximately 7% - 8% more than a 15 SEER system.

At an input of 60,000 BTU’s, the GMVC800604BN Goodman gas furnace is suitable for up to a small to medium house in an average climate. The output of this furnace is 48,000 BTU’s, which is calculated by the input times the 80% efficiency rating.
80% Efficiency Rating
With the industry standard efficiency of 80% AFUE, the GMVC800604BN Goodman gas furnace uses 80% of the fuel going into the furnace to heat your home and the remaining 20% of the fuel going into it is used up in normal furnace operations and is lost out of the flue venting. The GMVC800604BN requires metal flue venting like any 80% efficient furnace, while anything 90% and above would require plastic or PVC venting.

Two Stage Variable Speed Furnace
The GMVC800604BN is equipped with two stages, allowing for an adjusted heat output to better suit your home’s comfort needs. - I'm glad I added it.This was the first time adding a TXV kit. I was reluctant because you could just leave the unit with the standard set orifice. But, now 7 months later, it's been working fine. It makes sense to put one, just like a thermostat for a car. It makes things run consistent on the output.
