Reliable Gas Heating with a Flush-Fit Indoor Coil
This Goodman Furnace & Coil System combines dependable gas heating with a cased evaporator coil selected to match the furnace cabinet width. The furnace provides whole-home heating, while the indoor coil supports compatible R32 condenser applications when paired with the correct outdoor equipment.
This Furnace & Coil System is perfect for 600-1,000 sq. ft. homes in various climates when properly sized and installed. The system is built around a Goodman gas furnace and cased evaporator coil, with the coil selected for a compatible indoor equipment setup. Proper furnace sizing should always be confirmed through a professional load calculation based on home size, climate, insulation, windows, ceiling height, layout, air leakage, and other home-specific factors.
An 80% AFUE furnace provides dependable gas heating with practical efficiency for everyday comfort. For example, a 40,000 BTU input rating at 80% AFUE provides approximately 32,000 BTUs of usable heating output, while the remaining heat is lost to the combustion process and exits through the venting. Because this is an 80% AFUE furnace, it requires metal flue venting. Homes with plastic or PVC furnace venting require a 90% AFUE or higher furnace.
The indoor coil works with a compatible condenser as part of a split HVAC setup. The system must be paired with a condenser using the same refrigerant type, and condenser tonnage cannot exceed the tonnage of the coil. If you are not sure whether this Furnace & Coil System will work with your condenser, please call us before purchasing.
The included cased coil is selected to match the furnace cabinet width, creating a cleaner fit between the furnace and coil. For this system, the furnace and coil share a 14" cabinet width, helping support proper airflow alignment, installation fit, and a more streamlined indoor equipment setup.
When installed according to applicable codes and registered online with Goodman, this Furnace & Coil System includes:
Warranty coverage varies by included equipment and requires proper installation and online registration. Installation by a qualified HVAC professional is recommended to maintain warranty eligibility.
Please note that this furnace does not comply with Low NOx or Ultra-Low NOx regulations. If you have any questions, please contact us.

In these areas you are required to purchase a Low NOx or Ultra-Low NOx furnace. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Disclaimer: This system includes an evaporator coil designed for use with R32 refrigerant systems, classified as an A2L refrigerant. R32 systems must be installed with compatible equipment and any required refrigerant leak detection components according to the product specifications, installation manual, and applicable safety standards. Failure to follow these requirements may result in safety hazards and could void the warranty. Please call us at 1-888-912-1827 if you have any questions.
This Goodman cased evaporator coil is designed to work with compatible R32 condensers and furnaces. With a 2 ton capacity, 14" cabinet width, upflow/downflow installation flexibility, and Goodman’s AlumaFin7™ coil design, it helps support proper equipment matching for approved split HVAC applications.
Proper coil matching is important for system performance, fit, and installation. This coil’s 2 ton capacity helps match it to compatible condenser applications, while the 14" cabinet width helps determine whether it will fit correctly with the furnace and available installation space.
Goodman’s AlumaFin7™ coil design features all-aluminum construction and grooved aluminum tubing to help increase surface area for heat transfer. This design supports efficient system operation while providing a durable indoor coil option for compatible R32 equipment.
The indoor coil is part of the refrigerant circuit and helps transfer heat as air moves across the coil. In a properly matched system, it works with the condenser, furnace blower, and refrigerant flow controls to support reliable home comfort.
Goodman's AlumaFin7™ evaporator coil is designed to help your heating and cooling system operate efficiently while providing dependable comfort throughout your home. Its all-aluminum construction supports efficient heat transfer and long-lasting performance, while the advanced coil design helps promote proper airflow and moisture removal.
At just 21 inches deep, the compact design can also make installation easier in homes where space is limited. When paired with compatible Goodman equipment, the coil helps deliver the efficient, reliable heating and cooling you expect from Goodman.

Across many installations, buyers report smooth startups and quiet operation, with several noting lower energy bills after replacing older 60–66% efficient or 25-year-old furnaces with 80,000 BTU and 96% two-stage models that improved heat consistency and reduced noise. Installation is often described as straightforward for DIYers, though some encountered loose or damaged components, wiring confusion, sensor error codes, or shipping dents that required minor adjustments or part resets.
