The Goodman GSZ 16 SEER Heat Pump uses the chlorine-free refrigerant R-410A and features energy efficiencies and operating sound levels that are among the best in the heating and cooling industry. The GSZ contains the single stage, high efficiency Copeland® scroll compressor, which provides improved temperature and humidity control. This unit is designed for the consumer who desires superb comfort and quiet operation.
The Goodman MBVC modular blower is tailor-made for exceptional energy efficiency. Now fully compatible with the ComfortNet line of communicating equipment, these two-piece blowers increase both installation and application flexibility. Units can be matched with cased coils for upflow, downflow, and horizontal applications.

3 to 3.5 Tons
At an output of 3 to 3.5 tons, the Goodman CAPT3743D4 evaporator coil is ready for almost any vertical application that matches that output need. In entire system configurations, the coil will be either larger or the same size as the condenser’s tonnage. As such, the tonnages of the coil and the condenser may be different in order to maintain the unit’s efficiency. Please note that for this coil to function, a furnace or blower and a condenser is required, all sold separately. This coil is not designed to replace a coil in a single-piece air handler.
Warranty
The CAPT3743D4 coil is covered under Goodman’s standard 10 year parts warranty when the unit is installed following your state and local codes, the coil is paired with a compatible R410A condenser, and the entire system is registered online through the manufacturer.
The Goodman CAPT3743D4 vertical evaporator coil is designed with aluminum tubing and fin coils, lowering wear and tear on the unit. The coil also comes with a TXV kit factory-installed, making it one less thing for your installer to have to install, lowering installation costs. For easier maintenance access, the front of the coil’s durable cabinet has a split-seam.
The Goodman CAPT3743D4 vertical evaporator coil’s built-in TXV kit provides a significant increase in refrigerant control, increasing the overall efficiency of the entire system and providing a more precise temperature output to make you more comfortable in your home. On top of that, the coil has a mold-resistant, thermoplastic drain pan set that lowers potentially dangerous particle buildup. All of these features allow the CAPT3743D4 to live up to the Goodman quality name.

- Received QuicklyI received my order pretty quickly and it looks in good condition. We have yet to get the equipment installed because of a monthlong heat wave of temps in the high 90s to 115 so our tech has been quite busy and our current a/c is working well. I dont want to take a tech away from anyone with no a/c. I have the complete system covered and stored in my shop. I would expect to have the heat pump installed by the end of August.
