LG's KUSXB481A heat pump condenser has an output of 4 tons, generally enough to heat and cool a medium to large house in ideal climates. Please note that this condenser cannot function on its own, and it needs an indoor coil or air handler to work. This unit is capable of cooling in outdoor temperatures as high as 118°F and heating down to -4°F. Supplemental heat kits are available if backup electric heat is necessary for your area.

LG's heat pump condensers are built with a twin rotary variable speed BLDC (Brushless Digitally Controlled) inverter compressor. This innovative technology eliminates the harsh "on-off" cycling seen on standard systems. Warranty
This condenser includes a 5-year parts warranty and 5-year compressor warranty from the date of purchase. Register within 60 days of residential installation to upgrade to a 10-year parts and 10-year compressor warranty for the original homeowner, starting from the installation date.

4 Tons
The LG LKMMA48C1 provides an output of 4 tons when paired with a compatible LG condenser. In some cases, the coil will be smaller in size compared to its compatible LG condenser. While in most setups this would not be permissible, each of these pairings are AHRI-rated and they can be safely used in your home. Please note that this item cannot operate independently from a compatible condenser and furnace, each available at an additional cost.
Warranty
LG offers a 5-year limited parts warranty standard, extendable to 10 years on parts with timely online registration by an authorized installer. Labor coverage applies for 2 years; extended terms require certified system matchup and code-compliant installation.
