Designed with comfort in mind and an inexpensive option for nearly any application, this inverter condenser is considered a good all-around option for almost any application.
The RunTru by Trane A5HL5024A1000A inverter heat pump condenser has an output of 2 tons, generally enough to heat and cool up to a small house in ideal climates. In many system configurations, the tonnage of the unit's paired coil or air handler will be larger in tonnage than this condenser, which maintains the efficiency of the unit.
The RunTru by Trane A5HL5024A1000A heat pump condenser is rated at 15.2 SEER2, making it between 5-7% more efficient than standard 14.3 SEER2 units, saving you money in electric bills over the entire lifetime of your unit. In general, heat pumps will heat more efficiently than straight electric furnaces.
The A5HL5024A1000A inverter technology changes AC power to DC, giving the compressor the ability to speed up and slow down at will. This allows the system to adjust BTU output based on demand, giving you ultra-precise control over the temperature of your home.
Disclaimer: This condenser contains R454B refrigerant, which is classified as an A2L refrigerant. To comply with safety standards, this unit must be paired with an R454B air handler or evaporator coil equipped with a leakage detection system. The Runtru by Trane A5AHV002A1B3 air handler is rated for an output of 2 tons. In many cases, this air handler will be larger in tonnage than the condenser it is paired with to maintain the unit's overall efficiency. Please note that for this unit to provide cooling, an outdoor condenser is required for it to function. The unit can support electric heating as a straight electric furnace or as a backup for a heat pump, offered at an additional cost to be field installed.
RunTru by Trane offers a 10 year indoor coil and parts warranty on this unit. For these warranties to be upheld, the unit must be installed following your state and local codes and the entire system must be registered online through the manufacturer. After your purchase, a representative will reach out to you to retrieve installation information so we can register the product for you.
To make a more versatile unit, RunTru by Trane designed the A5AHV002A1B3 to easily be installed in an upflow, downflow, or horizontal position. A TXV kit is already installed on the unit so your installer does not have to install one, decreasing installation costs. For durability, the A5AHV002A1B3 air handler is designed with an extremely strong, one-piece outer casing to protect the unit, and the coil is designed with corrosion-resistant aluminum.
The A5AHV002A1B3 air handler has an efficient variable speed blower motor, providing stable temperatures in your home and making you more comfortable. The control board will automatically communicate with your thermostat to adjust the output of the blower to suit your needs.
Line sets are the copper lines which connect an outdoor condensing unit/heat pump to an inside air handler or evaporator coil. Line sets are available in different lengths and diameters to fit most applications.
