Yes - Fire features that include HPC's EI On/Off ignition system can be connected to an external switch or remote control. Fire features that include HPC's EI HI/LO ignition system are controlled via bluetooth through the HPC app.
While simultaneously depressing spark button and valve knob, the pilot gas is ignited. Once thermocouple senses adequate flame (roughly 5-30 seconds) the valve will allow you to light main burner by turning knob. The same knob will also adjust the flame height.
Yes, HPC fire pits that feature an EI electronic ignition, FPPK push button, flame sensing, and MLFPK match lit ignition system are CSA certified. Individual burners and components purchased ala carte are not certified.
