Will this run on dyed diesel?

According to the Installation, Operation and Service Manual, "This oil furnace is designed to burn No. 1 or No. 2 distillate fuel oil. NEVER USE GASOLINE OR A MIXTURE OF OIL AND GASOLINE." If you have any further questions, please give us a call - thanks!

Does this unit ship with the Beckett burner, and is this available with a 6" flue vs. the 5" flue?

Yes, the VHF-ABP furnace ships with a Beckett burner. This furnace is only available with a 5" flue connection size. However, we do carry the Thermo Pride model VL furnace which has the 6" flue connection size, but specifications will not be the same as the VHF-ABP. If you would like to reference the VL's manuals for spec comparisons, please note that the VL is available with either a front or rear-facing flue which utilize different model numbers - the front-facing burner's model number is VLF-DBP while the rear-racing burner is VLR-DBP. The flue for the Thermo Pride model VHF-ABP oil furnace is located at the top/front of the unit. Technical daigrams can be found in the Specification Sheet in our product resources.
