96% AFUE

The GR9T960803BN Goodman gas furnace is a 96% efficient furnace, making it a condensing setup. This efficiency means that only 4% of the fuel going into the furnace is used up in furnace operations, while 96% of the fuel is used to heat your home. As a condensing furnace, this furnace will need to be vented with plastic or PVC flue venting. If you need to use metal flue venting, you would need an 80% efficient furnace.

Two Stage 9-Speed Furnace

With a two stage burner, the GR9T960803BN provides two heating outputs: one at a 60% heating output and one at a 100% output. The furnace also has a 9 speed ECM motor instead of the last-generation inefficient PSC motor. The GLXS5BA3610 AC-only condenser is 3 tons, normally enough to cover up to a medium house. Please note that in some cases, the system bundle pairs this unit with a larger tonnage coil to maintain the system's efficiency.

15.2 SEER2

The GLXS5BA3610 condenser is designed to be up to 15.2 SEER2 in ideal system configurations. Considered a high-efficiency, 15.2 SEER2 is around 12% more efficient than a 14.3 SEER2 system, saving you a lot of money in energy bills. 15.2 SEER2 efficiency ratings tend to be where cost meets efficiency, and is normally the best value for the efficiency.

Warranty

The GLXS5BA3610 condenser comes with Goodman's standard 10 year parts warranty with online registration through the manufacturer. An installation that follows your state and local codes is required for the warranty to be upheld.
