From the factory, the AQ-GR9S960803BN runs on natural gas. However all ACiQ gas furnaces can be converted to propane using the furnace's corresponding LP conversion kit, an optional accessory at an additional cost that consists of a replacement set of orifices and springs.

With its ability to be installed with either an AC-only condenser or a heat pump condenser, this unit is ideal for many applications. In some packages, this coil will be larger than its paired condenser, which will increase the overall efficiency of the entire unit, but the coil should never be smaller than its paired condenser. - Great OptionI will say that HVAC direct provides a great service in not having to jump through hoops in order for a home owner to buy a furnace. The furnace is built pretty basic and that is what I wanted. Just keep in mind that if you are a homeowner installing the unit on your own and you have an issue with the furnace, you must have a certified tech troubleshoot and give you a report to forward to Goodman in order to use the warranty. HVAC direct ships fast as lightning. Don't be afraid, buy the equipment and save thousands.
